Quasar

Thursday · Cycle day 4 · running as a Monday, apparently

The schedule app for schools that can’t make up their mind.

Snow days, two-hour delays, a Thursday that runs on a Monday schedule, lunch in two waves. Quasar keeps up. It’s free, it works with no signal, and it never shows you an ad.

Things my school did this year, and what Quasar did about it.

Every one of these is a setting, not a workaround.

  • Eight-day rotation

Not A/B. Any cycle length, letter days, periods that change position from day to day.

“Is it day 3 or day 4?” Never again.

  • Snow day on a Tuesday

Cycle days skip holidays and closures. The rotation doesn’t slide out by one for a month.

Wed became Day 4, like it should.

  • “Thursday runs as Monday”

Replacement days: one date, one setting. Every period, room and lunch wave follows.

    Wave 2 lunch. It knew.

  • Two-hour delay

Shift the whole day. Every start, end and countdown moves with it. Your own edits survive when the school corrects theirs.

My note on P3 was still there.

  • The bus has no signal

Fully editable offline. Add a task, it’s there when you land and uploads by itself. Every change shows where it stands.

    Saved · Waiting · Syncing

  • Reset after break

The school restarted the count after a closed week. You can tell Quasar that in one tap.

    Cycle reset: Jan 6 → Day 1.

  1. Tasks with priorities, checklists, repeats and notes. Teacher calendar feeds import themselves.
  2. Conflicts you resolve yourself. Two devices, same field: both values shown, you pick. Nothing silently overwritten.
  3. Lunch waves as real periods. Wave 1 and Wave 2 are different times, not a note.
  4. No ads, no trackers, nothing sold. You are the student, not the product.
  5. Share with the people you choose. One friend at a time, and take it back whenever.

Homework: two minutes.

Then it’s just there.
